Now, now, lay those rip-off suspicions to rest :) "Plagiarization" and style-emulation was before the 1900s an accepted, even required expression of admiration of other writers (and expected to be spotted and recognized as such by the reader). Only later did it become criminalized and a source for lawyer income. – Bo Leuf
